ADA / Section 504 Grievance Procedure – Public Notice
The Town of Cherry Creek has established formal grievance procedures in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. These procedures are in place to ensure prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in Town programs, services, activities, or benefits.
Any individual who believes they have been subjected to discrimination due to a disability may file a written grievance with the Town. Complaints must generally be submitted within 60 calendar days of the alleged discriminatory action.
The Town Supervisor serves as the designated ADA and Section 504 Coordinator and is responsible for overseeing the grievance process, including investigation, response, and appeal procedures. The Town of Cherry Creek will make reasonable accommodations, upon request, to ensure individuals with disabilities are able to participate fully in the grievance process. Retaliation against individuals who file a grievance or participate in an investigation is strictly prohibited.
Residents are encouraged to review the complete grievance procedures for detailed information regarding filing requirements, timelines, appeals, and available accommodations.
